Angel Pictographs are hidden away is an enchanting corner of Arches
National Park. There is no trail to the actual collection of amazing
rock art panels, and the rangers will not tell you where the rock art is
located. The petroglyphs are guarded by a simple sign stating "You've
found something unique please preserve it". |
Circle of Friends:
Dark
Angel Pictographs
is part of the "Circle of Friends" program.
Members of the "Circle of Friends" have
access to more specific information, explicit route information, GPS waypoints, trailhead
location and detailed maps. If you would

"Circle of Friends"
General Information:
Dark Angel
Pictographs contains hundreds of interesting rock art images. The rock art
is accessible year round in good weather. Spring, winter and fall are the
ideal times for this hike. This trip will require at least 1/2 a day to
visit and enjoy the petroglyphs. A GPS is useful in
verifying you are on the correct route and in locating the petroglyphs. Dark Angel Petroglyphs is rated 1A II using the Canyon
Rating System.
Trailhead Information:
The petroglyph's are located inside Arches National Park and
the trailhead is accessible to all vehicles in all weather conditions.
Please take only pictures and leave only footprints.
