adventure begins with a very scenic hike to a ridge overlooking Spanish
Fork Canyon and ends with a descent through a beautiful and interesting
conglomerate slot canyon.

Canyon is part of the "Circle of Friends"
program. Members of the "Circle of Friends"
have access to more specific information, explicit route information, GPS waypoints,
trailhead location and detailed maps. If

General Information:
Crumbling
Canyon is a technical canyoneering adventure through a stunning
conglomerate slot canyon.
Total time required form trailhead to trailhead is approximately 2 hours.
Crumbling Canyon requires complete technical gear.
Crumbling Canyon is rated 3A II using the Canyon
Rating System. This canyon is accessible year round, but could be difficult
in winter. This route is suitable
for beginners with competent leadership.
Navigation
for this route is moderate. Good map reading
skills are essential. This canyon has an exceptionally small flash flood danger. In normal
conditions this canyon does not require any swimming or wading. The route contains one mandatory
45-foot rappel for the skilled and possible more for everyone else.
Trailhead Information:
The
Crumbling Canyon Trailhead is located in Spanish Fork Canyon, which is just
east of Spanish Fork, Utah. The trailhead is accessible to all vehicles in
all weather conditions.
